Tria's 2019 Couple of the Year
Congratulations to Gregory Hughel and Sherry Polise-Hughel!
Sherry shared with us the story of her courtship with Greg that involved lots of wine and cheese, a subsequent proposal, a cool lighting fixture, and eventually a baby. Much has happened in their lives since their first Tria visit. We sold Sherry and Greg’s “spot,” Tria Fitler Square, to a new landlord in 2017, but happily Sherry and Greg have many years of Tria visits ahead.
I’m writing to enter the Tria love contest. My now husband and I started our dating by racking up many many Tria dollars while we sat and planned our lives together at the bar over wine and cheese. In fact, we spent so much time at the filter square location, it became our special place. My husband brought me there for my favorite cheese and rose champagne before bringing me into the park to propose. What did we immediately do after I put the ring on? Well we went back into Tria and had more champagne of course :)
You Light Up My Life
On our wedding day, we couldn’t imagine not stopping in and getting pictures to commemorate our love story there and those are some of our favorite wedding photos. In fact, when we heard the Filter Square location was closing, it was right around our first anniversary and we were so sad. I actually reached out to you guys looking for a memento and you were able to get me one of the light fixtures. I surprised my husband with it as an anniversary gift and it now hangs above our dining room table (see pic and notice our cheese and wine books on one of the shelves from our Tria card. :)
Well, we recently had our first baby and so haven’t been able to sit and enjoy our cheese and wine like we once did and this would be a great excuse to leave our little nugget with her grandparents for the first time... I also attached a photo of our little Lucy with some of our Tria wedding photos, not because she has anything to do with Tria but she sure is cute and hey everyone loves a cute baby...
